Majahuas Jalisco

Majahuas is one of those hidden gems, located in the Mexican state of Jalisco, is an unknown place even for people from Guadalajara, the second biggest city in México, the reason is simple, it is a 6-7 hours drive, then a 6 kilometers dirt road and then you’d have to cross a lagoon filled with Crocodiles. Sounds like a proper hassle but is totally worth it. The place is surrounded by the lagoon on one side and the Pacific ocean on the other. The beach is known for the big arrivals of turtles every summer to lay their eggs in this stretch of sand. The local community runs a Turtle camp there, if you are adventurous enough to get there, you can do some real conservation by helping at the camp. You can go patrolling looking for turtles or nests and bring the eggs to a safe place back at the camp.

This photo was taken while arriving to the camp.

I had the chance to visit a hidden place in the middle of the jungle near the pacific coast of México, I am not allowed to say where this place is, but i'll say that is probably the most beautiful house i've ever been. The owner has a passion for orchids and you can see them all over his property, wild orchids everywhere on the woods. I'd neve […]

My first Time Lapse with an intervalometer (cheers Adam) the new toy arrived a couple of days before this and the opportunity came right away with an amazing Lunar Eclipse, it was a rather difficult situation, every now and then I had to adjust the exposition in order to obtain the best details of the moon, I didn't achieve it in all the shots but i thi […]
