His story to the world

While i was taking photographs in one of the Tsunami camps in Sri Lanka, this man approached me and asked me to take his picture, I did so and after showing it to him he smiled and started talking to my translator, after a brief chat, my translator explained me that his spine was injured at the tsunami and he could not work or sustain his family anymore. He wanted me to take his picture so I could tell his story “to the world”. I was speechless, I mean, if you look at the picture you wouldn’t imagine such a sad story. So I’m doing what he asked me to. I’m sure you all watched the tsunami images on the news and I’m sure you all thought it was a horrible tragedy, but when you’re there, it is just mindblowing, the proportions of the destruction are just beyond comprehension. I respect this man so much, specially the very genuine and honest way in which he asked for help.

I had the chance to visit a hidden place in the middle of the jungle near the pacific coast of México, I am not allowed to say where this place is, but i'll say that is probably the most beautiful house i've ever been. The owner has a passion for orchids and you can see them all over his property, wild orchids everywhere on the woods. I'd neve […]
