Some months ago I had the chance to visit a turtle conservation camp at the state of Colima in México. This Olive Ridley is about to be released into the Pacific.

This photo was taken at a beautiful place called Majahuas, located on the coast of the Mexican state of Jalisco. The local community runs a turtle conservation project since the 70′s. Majahuas is a remote place and that’s why it is so pristine. I visited the camp at the end of the nesting season when eggs start to hatch, this little hatchling was minutes away from being released into the ocean. Thanks to Ruth and Dan who took took me there, they run a Eco-Tourism company in Melaque Mexico, check their website here: www.mex-ecotours.com

Frigates are one of my favorite birds, they’re agile and smart but they rather steal their food from other birds including other Frigates than get their food on their own. This photography was taken in the beautiful coast of Michoacan México, 250 kilometers of semi virgin coastline.

Holbox island is a gorgeous place at the edge of the Mexican Caribean, in the state of Quintana Roo. Not yet heavily touristed, the mix between a traditional fishing town and modernity brought by few hotels make this place unique. These seaguls are hovering above a fisherman’s boat trying to get some of the remaining fish on the boat.

I find Dragonflies fascinating and this picture proves it, I spent almost an hour at a floating bridge outside a floating bungalow in Khao Sok National Park (Thailand) near to that thin branch and ready to try to take a decent picture. That place seemed to be its favorite spot, it would fly away and come back over and over, everytime it came back it would stay still for 5 seconds before taking off again, no wonder it took me something around 50 photos until I was happy with the result.
